About Sophie
I am a born and bred city girl, having grown up and worked in central London up until 5 years ago when I moved to Amsterdam for a job. My whole career has been working in the film industry, where with clients around the world and with colleagues in London and LA, I oversaw international marketing campaigns on a number of award winning films. After the birth of my second child, I decided to pivot my career and help other expat families with a service that I quite frankly needed, when I was starting out in the city.
As a mother to two young children, living in the international and cosmopolitan Zuid district, I am living and breathing the experience. I know the challenges and I understand the actual ‘needs’ of a family when transitioning to daily life in a new city, in a new country. From being pregnant, giving birth, buying and renovating a house, choosing daycares, pre-schools, schools, and after school activities, all in Amsterdam, I have experienced it all.
